Board read letter from Mass. Assoc. of Realtors declaring the month of April as Fair Housing Month.  Chairman requested the information be sent to the Affordable Housing Committee and based on their recommendation, the Board will take action.

The Town Accountant spoke with the Board concerning a contract.  The Board was in receipt of a letter and a salary survey and agreed to take the request under advisement.  It was also noted that the Treasurer/Collector has requested the same.  The Board agreed they would take action on this within the next two weeks.   

Andrew McCarthy made a brief presentation concerning his request for a live entertainment license on Wednesday evenings - Kareoke.  After brief discussion, motion to grant by Frisoli, 2nd by Crowley.  4-0 vote.

Exec. Secretary presented information on the School Roof bid for Indian Head School.  The Chairman read the list of bidders and a letter of recommendation from Briggs Engineering which recommended the low bidder.  The Exec. Secretary also explained that he had contacted references and it appeared that Capeway Roofing Systems, Inc. was a very reliable contractor.  It was recommended highly by Briggs Engineering and several other references.  Motion by Frisoli, 2nd Murdoch to accept the low bidder, Capeway Roofings Systems, Inc. Westport, Ma.  at $104,000 and to have Chairman sign contract on behalf of the Board.  4-0 vote.

Mr. Crowley having received a complaint from a resident for lack of service in the Town Hall, moved that Departments under the control of the Board of Selectmen which collect monies should have a written policy and a summary of that policy accompanying the first annual tax bill, the first annual water bill and the excise tax bill being sent out by the dept.  2nd Murdoch, 4-0 vote.  

Exec. Secretary. presented to the Board for signatures a $5450. statement of claim for Elm St property which was demolished by the Town.  Moved to accept and sign by Murdoch, 2nd Crowley, 4-0 vote.  Board also signed Town Meeting warrant for the Annual May Town Meeting.  

Exec. Secretary gave an overview of the Wage and Personnel Hearing, part of which he attended on March 15.  He also informed the Board that the Wage and Personnel recommendations for salary increases and additional personnel requests were in the current mail.  

Chairman asked for motion to enter exec. session for discussion on negotiations for Police, Fire, Highway and Dispatching.  Motion by Murdoch, 2nd Crowley.  Roll Call vote.  4-0

Motion to adjourn by Murdoch, 2nd Crowley, 4-0.  10:30 p.m.
